The idea of "Aunt Wendy's" started, while I was making chicken salad and joking with my sister saying "what if I could sell this at the Merc..." (in July of 2011).
The Draper Mercantile is owned by my friend and visionary, Debbie. Perhaps one day you'll see some of my home cooking for sale at the Merc. If you do, it's all Debbie's fault. I mean, it's all due to Debbie's vision!
In toying with this whole idea, I'm imaging labels that might read:
Aunt Wendy's Chicken Salad
Aunt Wendy's Salsa
Aunt Wendy's Chili
Aunt Wendy's Chicken Tortilla Soup
Aunt Wendy's Black Bean Soup
Aunt Wendy's Beef Tips
This blog would be a place to show how Aunt Wendy's evolves... IF it evolves!
But who knows, maybe this could really work!
